Goodwill Wheels to Work Program
About the Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee Wheels-to-Work Program
Goodwill is a non-profit organization whose mission is changing lives through education, training and employment.
Goodwill and its employees are no strangers to the mobility problems faced by an entry-level workforce. That's why for the last several years, Goodwill’s Wheels-to-Work program has provided donated vehicles for employees or clients who lack transportation to work.
Current Goodwill employees or clients in need of transportation and who meet certain requirements may apply for the program. Some of these requirements include: being employed, working at least 30 hours a week, having a valid driver license and a clean driving record. Program participants must complete budgeting, defensive driving and car maintenance classes.
As an extension of the Wheels-to-Work program, Goodwill partnered with Hytch Rewards in 2017 as the first Tennessee midstate employer to offer its team members and employees direct incentives for commuting together and sharing rides using the Hytch Rewards. The goal of the partnership is to help its employees overcome the lack of transportation as a barrier to employment.
Partnership Donation Opportunities
When you donate your cash earned with Hytch Rewards to Goodwill Wheels-to-Work, you will be part of a sustainable solution to eliminate that barrier for Goodwill employees and clients.
Why We Partner
For many of the individuals Goodwill helps, finding an affordable ride to and from work can be a daily struggle Goodwill’s mission is to help people overcome barriers to employment, and we believe the Hytch Rewards app — along with the cash incentives to use it — will make shared commute a more simple and attractive solution.
